So, I made a grave error.
C-11, the Canadian copyright bill (Almost identical to SOPA/PIPA), to the best of my knowledge is supposed to be/has passed today.
I'm not sure what this is going to mean for me, and my editing.
But, if the bill is going to be enforced as well as they say it is, then uploading copyrighted material will mean a fine and/or criminal record for me.
I'll still be around to chat, but I fear that I will no longer be able to upload anything.
I'll see what I can do for MEP parts, to get them done, but I do not know were I stand right now. I don't want a fine/jail on my back.

I can only hope that the bill does not go so far as to block all videos, and media with copyrighted material.

See warning in the video, I really mean it. Also HD is a must, sorry to press this, but otherwise the quality is just not worth it. Also, if it starts skipping and lagging, please restart, or pause and allow it to catch up to itself. It seems to be a little temperamental.
Besides that, I would really like you amazing editors to critique this. It's for a project, a huge project.
It's a group project. Each group chose a charity and were told to create a presentation based upon that charity. Each of the groups would compete against each other to see which presentation was the best in the class. The finalists will then go on to "battle" the other finalists from the other classes in my grade.
The winner gets 5000 dollars for their charity. Yes, $5000.

So this is a pretty big deal. And the project required a artistic component. So I did a video.
My charity runs a online anon forum, and counselling to help people deal with all kind of issues, like the ones in the video, and I thought this would be the intro to our presentation.

And I would REALLY appreciate critique, what you liked, what you didn't like, if there is anything I should add, take away, or change?
It would be REALLY appreciated!

Also, if you think this is too strong to show to my class (grade11), please let me know!

It turns out that in Final Cut Pro X, they have this masking feature right? It gives you four points to move around and create the area you want to mask.
So obviously, you are thinking 4 points, that would create crappy masks would it not? Yes, indeed it did.
And I was frustrated at it, until yesterday, I learned that you can put a mask on a mask, to get it more precise.
DUHHH!
And you can add as many masks as you want.
So I'm going to play around with masking soon, hopefully I can get some decent results!

I'm pretty excited!

Also, B.C is supposed to be getting hurricane force winds... AWESOMEEE.... kind of XD
I don't want to walk to school with the fear that an old tree is going to fall on me, LOL.
